After almost a decade in London and New York's most exclusive nightlife and hospitality industry, our co-founder Oliver Evans realized how hollow the luxury lifestyle felt. He grappled with the emptiness of materialism and those exclusive spaces where people gathered, but didn't truly connect.

On his 30th birthday, he walked away from it all, joining the founding team of SevenRooms, diving into the startup world while simultaneously rebuilding himself from the inside out. Over the next five years, he traveled, formed deeper relationships, and slowly pulled himself out of his funk. He was learning what real fulfillment looked like—but still didn't know what came next.

Then, in April 2022, two months after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, he flew to Poland. While shuttling humanitarian supplies to devastated communities, Oliver saw what becomes possible when strangers are united by something bigger than themselves. In the midst of unimaginable destruction, he had a profound realization: a shared purpose can ignite the fire that changes everything.

He came back to Los Angeles with a single question: what if entrepreneurs, the ones actually trying to solve meaningful problems, had a space designed for that kind of collaboration?

He needed a partner who understood that bringing people together is about more than events and atmosphere. He found that in Mikul Wing, a touring DJ for 15 years who'd walked away from Coachella and major festivals to pursue the authentic connection he valued most.

Together, they built The KINN—rooted in a profound sense of responsibility to contribute to a bigger cause, where conscious leaders push each other forward, working together toward something worth building.
